Principal's Bio

Mrs. Rhonda Givins started her teaching career, August 1990, at Lanett Jr. High School in Lanett, Alabama.  August 1997, she became the assistant principal at LaFayette High School.  Mrs. Givins has been the principal of Five Points Elementary School since September 2000.

Education Background:  Graduated from the University of Maryland in 1985.  She received her teacher certification from the University of Louisville in 1986.  She attended Troy State and received a Masters Degree in History with an administration endorsement and completed the 6 year program.

Military Background:  Served five years in the United States Army.  She then went to work for the United States Government while attending college.  During that time, she lived in many different locations in the United States and Europe.

Mrs. Givins is currently married to Donald Givins.  They have been married 34 years and have two sons; Ben and Beau. 

Mrs. Givins believes in treating children as if they are her own.  That way the children are always treated with love, kindness, and respect.
